Abstract

The present study tackles the word 'farmer' and his role in the agricultural activities in the cuneiform texts. It also investigates the acts done be the farmer in this field. These activities appear as recommendations and instructions delivered by the farmer to his son. Moreover, the study reviews the agricultural tools and equipment that were used by the farmer at the time like axe, plough, scythe and seeder.
The study comes up with the conclusion that the farmer had a great role in cultivation generally. As a result he built a luxurious economy in Ancient Iraq.
