Abstract

That this research is an attempt to shed light on the proof methods adopted by judges in ancient Iraq from the point of view of a specialist in the history of ancient Iraq, its ancient languages and books. The researcher relied primarily and mainly on the scattered cuneiform texts and the indications contained in them about the methods of proof and concluded that he concluded that contemporary laws are exceptions, and that is the ordeal or choice, which confirms the maturity and development of the judicial organization in ancient Iraq and the extent of its originality and influence in the following civilizations.
