This study examines Fayruuz Abaadis dictionary: Qamus AL-Muhiit (817 AH), Particularly the entries whereby the author criticses Al-Jawharis sictionary Al-Sihah (d.400 AH). The study takes the stance of an arbitrator by First analysing those areas of criticism and concomitant justifications and verifying them by appealing to claims or counterclaims available in reliable linguistic resources.
