Abstract

The beginning of the twentieth century, and specifically the end of the year 2010, witnessed the winds of change that affected the Arab region, and political news occurred in a number of countries, as the spark of the revolution was launched in Tunisia and its effects spread to the rest of the Arab countries until it reached Syria. Its youth went out in large demonstrations demanding change and political and economic reforms, but the Syrian regime faced this revolution with a fierce confrontation that prompted the revolutionaries to demand the overthrow of Bashar al-Assads rule However, regional and international support prevented the revolution from achieving its goals, and from here the Kingdom of Saudi Arabias position on the Syrian revolution emerged by supporting them militarily and politically through the Arab League and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
