Abstract

Finding an appropriate translation equivalent has been regarded a central question for the theories and practices of translation. In principle, the main task of the translator is to produce the most appropriate equivalent of the source text (ST) in the traget text (TT). Translation equivalence- the main goal of the translator-is attained via transmission of content and intended effect as well from (ST) to (TT).
