Abstract
The research includes the study of the eyes and spies and their role in the Islamic conquests in the Levant and trying to reveal the role it occupied and its repercussions on the results of the conquests as it had a major role in the victories of Muslims, so it is necessary to highlight the eyes and spies and their tasks and the means they followed in collecting information, through the eyes and spies broadcast everywhere, and eyes and spies in the Levant has derived its information from a variety of sources such as covenanters, merchants, messengers, residents of the open country (Nabat), Christians, residents of Al-Thughour and Al-Dala.The tasks of the eyes and spies varied in various theaters of operations in the Levant, such as transferring information to the high command and hitting enemy leaders, destroying hostile espionage sites, penetrating the ranks of the enemy, and chasing him, not to mention studying the battlefield and theaters of operations, and carrying out monitoring and follow-up operations, and eyes and spies relied on a variety of means of collecting information such as messages, disguise and concealment, and these were characterized by courage, strength, acumen, caution, caution, the ability to mislead the enemy, mastery of his language, activity and vitality, and knowledge of road routes and entrances and exits of the country.
