Abstract

This research deals with a number of semantic problems in the Quran that pose a challenge to translators. It has been shown that the limitations of translating the Quran lie in a number of Quranic expressions that lack their counterparts in the language of the translated language. These limitations are due to a number of factors, including the translator's knowledge of the cultural context and the linguistic system of the translated language.
