Abstract

The Seljuks represented one of the most prominent major political forces in the Islamic East, specifically in Transoxiana, as they were able within a short period of time to extend their influence to the neighboring cities and regions, the most prominent of which was Khurasan, which led the Abbasid state to recognize them.
